Maps show the boundaries of properties and can also show information about the neighborhood in past years. At the local level, neighborhood plats can be found in the same office where deeds are kept. Plats are detailed maps showing property boundaries. Many historic city and community maps are being scanned and made available online. For farm properties, historic land ownership maps are a great resource.
